We are excited to announce that Dewey Beach is open. Some restrictions are in effect for the beach, as seen in the sign below. Additional outdoor restaurant seating, pedestrian walkway upgrades, and more have been added to help with visitor safety.
Restaurant Seating and Merchants
Many restaurants in Dewey Beach have reconfigured their table layout, provide one-use menus and more to help with social distancing and cleanliness. Visitors are encouraged to continue wearing face masks, and adhering to all safety measures to help everyone.
“We are where we are because Delawareans listened and stayed home,” said Governor Carney. “While we are slowly reopening our economy, it’s critical that Delawareans not rush out and undo all the hard work they’ve done to get us to this point. Let’s continue to be cautious and responsible as we ease our way into this new normal.”
